The new Health Science Education and Simulation Center at Gaston College’s Dallas Campus brings together innovative healthcare education, student wellness, and collegiate athletics within a dynamic, 82,400-square-foot facility. Designed to support the College’s evolving academic programs and growing campus community, the center creates opportunities for experiential learning, collaboration, and engagement.

Designed in collaboration with BSA LifeStructures as Design Architect and Morris-Berg Architects as Architect of Record, the facility integrates specialized health sciences classrooms and simulation laboratories that provide immersive, hands-on learning environments replicating real-world healthcare settings. These spaces strengthen the connection between classroom instruction and clinical practice, preparing students for careers in the region’s growing healthcare workforce.

Complementing the academic program, the facility features a collegiate gymnasium accommodating basketball, volleyball, and campus events, along with athletic support spaces, locker rooms, fitness facilities, and administrative offices. Together, these amenities create a shared destination that promotes student success, physical wellness, and community engagement.

The overall project also includes a separate renovation of existing campus facilities to support the Gaston County Early College of Medical Sciences. This shared investment provides dedicated educational spaces for early college students, further strengthening the partnership between secondary and postsecondary education while expanding opportunities for students pursuing healthcare-related academic and career pathways.

Together, these improvements represent a significant investment in Gaston College’s Dallas Campus, establishing modern environments for education, athletics, and wellness while supporting the College’s continued commitment to workforce development and community engagement.
