Alexandra Rios

Associate AIA, NOMA
Designer

Alexandra believes good design and intentionality have the power to transform communities and the people within them. While receiving her B.F.A. in Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she cultivated an interest in building construction technology, environmental practices; and art history. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she continued into the graduate architectural program at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. There she dove deeper into the communities around her, their offered amenities and explored the ways in which good design practices could impact and alleviate the homelessness statistics in the City of Boston.

Her professional experience includes various project types and market sectors, many of which include public, corporate commercial, mixed use, and aviation. Alex is comfortable working with both new construction and renovation projects and has managed projects at each phase of design, production and construction administration. She continues to expand her knowledge and skills in the profession by immersing herself in the methodologies, knowledge discovery; and being engaged and influenced by both the built and natural environments.

In her personal time, she can be often found around live music events. She and her husband enjoy cheering on Charlotte FC and other local sporting events. They both enjoy taking their dog, Lobo, on hikes around the beautiful state of North Carolina.
