Morris-Berg Architects provided pro-bono design services for the renovation of Care Ring’s new 14,000-square-foot facility, supporting the organization’s mission to deliver accessible community health services to individuals and families with limited resources. Rapid growth—particularly within Maternal Child Health programs—prompted Care Ring’s relocation to a larger, more accessible site within a corridor of need.
The project was initiated through a long-standing personal connection, as Care Ring’s executive leadership includes a former Morris-Berg employee who re-engaged the firm decades later, recognizing its continued commitment to community-focused work. That shared understanding shaped a collaborative, mission-driven approach to the renovation.
The facility was reimagined to support expanded clinical services, staff operations, and community programs. The layout includes upgraded exam rooms, expanded laboratory and food pantry spaces, dedicated areas for maternal and child health services, and flexible administrative work zones. Patient experience was central to the design, with clear circulation, dedicated sick and well waiting areas, and private consultation spaces that support dignity and confidentiality.
Completed in early 2025, the project represents a significant milestone for Care Ring and reflects Morris-Berg’s belief in long-term relationships and the power of design to support organizations serving the public good.
