Morris-Berg Architects has partnered with Central Piedmont Community College for over 20 years and established a reputation for providing design and construction administrations that ensure student, staff and College needs are met in well-crafted and cost-effective projects. A testament to this commitment and relationship includes the new Parr Center on the Central Campus. Morris-Berg Architects (Architect-of-Record) teamed with Moody-Nolan (Design Partner) to deliver a progressive, state of the art student-focused facility that houses Student Success Services, Library functions, a Student Union (with foodservice) and Theater under one roof. Parr Center is located within the social and educational heart of the campus Quad, providing a fresh image for the College while creating dynamic, social and collaboration spaces for students. Spread over 172,000 sf, the building reinforces CPCC’s Vision as a champion of students, a catalyst for opportunity, and an exceptional provider of learning experiences that transform lives and strengthen our community and supports the Mission to provide exceptional education and globally competitive training in an engaging, supportive environment.
Parr Center was delivered in 2022 with Rodgers Builders/ Leeper as CM Agent.
"When choosing a design team to lead this project, we looked for one that could balance immense student, faculty and staff input; understand administrative goals and objectives; be sensitive to the historic nature of the campus and surrounding community; and develop a plan for a one-of-a-kind, attractive facility that would meet all of its necessary functions and be a source of pride".
-Dr. Kandi Deitemeyer, President Central Piedmont Community College
